Why is it so difficult to understand some TV programs?
Hearing loss or hearing problems are not always the only factors that affect the TV viewing experience. Modern TVs, with their slim, space-saving designs, often have small built-in speakers that cannot reproduce TV sound optimally. Dialogue can sound unclear and flat, while music and noise can be overwhelming. But the way sound is produced for movies and TV shows has also changed.
Why is good TV sound so important?
Good TV sound is not just a matter of luxury. It is essential for truly capturing the complete experience that filmmakers and producers have created for viewers. The quality of the sound influences our emotions, our attention, and ultimately our entire viewing experience. TV sound also affects speech intelligibility. Especially in action-packed movies or series with lots of background noise, it can be crucial to hear every line of dialogue clearly in order to follow the plot.
Developed by the family for the family
"My father's hearing was getting worse and worse, and he had to strain more and more to understand the TV sound. He couldn't hear the dialogue properly anymore and quickly became tired from listening so intently. The fact that he kept turning up the volume caused constant tension at home. It was no longer possible to relax and watch TV together. With OSKAR, he can now bring the sound directly to his couch. He no longer has to turn up the volume so high that it disturbs others. Now he can even chat with us while watching TV. If necessary, he can amplify the voice reproduction at the touch of a button, and peace has returned to the Faller household."
